Human Evolution: From Biology to Ethics will include lectures
on 1. The origins of our species, Homo sapiens; 2. Our
similarities with and differences from our primate relatives;
3. Evolution of social behavior; 4. Evolution of culture;
5. Biological foundations of morality and religion; and
6. Genetic engineering and the biological future of mankind.
The seminar will start with an introduction to some basic
concepts of the theory of evolution. This class will meet for
2 hours on the following days only: April 1, 8, 15, May 27,
and June 3.
