This seminar is based upon field experience in the Mohave
Desert near and in Joshua Tree National Park. The class will
depart in vans from UCI Saturday at noon on April 17 and we
will spend the night at the UC Natural Reserve System's Burns
Pinyon Ridge Desert Reserve near Yucca Valley. On Sunday,
April 18, we will travel through Joshua Tree National Park,
hike to Barker Dam within the Park, stop at the Park Visitors
Center, then return to UCI in the afternoon. A pre-outing
meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 14 at 9 -10 a.m. in
5248 McGaugh Hall.
