In this seminar, we will explore how the field of Genomics is
shaping our daily lives and how it might impact our future as
individuals and as a species. We will meet in the classroom to
discuss important topics including: high-throughput genomic
technologies; personal genomes in the context of human health
and ethics; recent human origins; and genome variation and
biodiversity. This class will meet for the first 5 weeks of
the quarter.
